On Blog: Go to http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ and calculate your Body Fat.
Do you feel this is realistic? Were you surprised by anything you found? Do you pay attention to what you eat? Are you aware of how many calories you eat per day? Do you get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day?
When you're young it's easy to stay active. As you age and you have more and more responsibilities it can be more difficult to actively exercise. What do you feel would be good strategies for staying healthy as you age?

ReplyDeleteYes I do feel this is realistic. I wasnt really suprised to find out how much percent how much body fat that i have. i try not to eat that much junk food. Ive never been aware on how many calories that ive takin in per day and i feel like some good strategies to stay healthy is to stay away from sugary products and not to eat as much fast food. also to work out two to three times a week.

I feel this is realistic. I wasn't surprised by what I found. I kind of pay attention to what I eat. I am mostly aware of how many calories I eat per day. I don't get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day but I do most days. I think good strategies would be to not eat a lot of unhealthy foods and to play sports.
ReplyDeleteyes, i do find this realistic. i wasn't suprised by anything i found. i sort of pay attention to what i eat, but not really. no, i do not count calories, i don't really care. Yes, i ride horses everyday for at least an hour.
ReplyDeletei think eating healthy and staying active are good ways to keep you healthy as you age.
After the test my BMI felt to me realisic. I wasn't surprosed at all because i knew what my was already because I play sports. I do usually pay attention to what I eat but I dont pay attention to my calories because I usually burn them all off anyways in sports. I do get 30 min of daily activity and more a day because of sports. Some good stategies to me are staying active and watching what you eat.

ReplyDeleteno i do not feel it is realistic, i was not surprised by what i found, i sometimes pay attention to what i eat, i am not aware of how many calories i eat, yes i get about 2hrs of exercise a day (swimming). i think when kids are little they should be put into multiple sports
This did kind of surprise me because i didnt think i was underweight. I always watch what i eat and check the calories. I almost always eat healthy and i usualyy get 30 minutes of excerize per day. As i age i think to stay healthy if you drink alot of water, eat alot of healthy foods and stay active, you will be healthy for your whole life. Its easier to stay healthy now i think because I know whats good for you and i know whats bad. Also i do sports now that im older.

Yes this is very realistic. No I wasn't surprised about anything that I found. No I really don't care about what I eat besides when I am wrestling which I can't do right now. No I never pay attention to the amount of calories I have each day. I usually do when I can play a sport or in the summer. I think it is easier to stay active when you are younger. Yes it can unless you play sports. Always try to do some kind of sport like golf or go walking.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is realistic. I am not suprised by what I found. I sometimes pay attention to what I eat. I'm not aware how many calories I eat a day. I have at least 30 minutes of exersise each day. Strategies for staying healty are eating good food, and exercising reguraly.

I dont feel this is realistic because it doesnt take into account that people have muscles. I was not suprised by what I found. Yes I am aware of how many calories I eat per day and I do get at least 30 mins of excersize a day. And a good strategy for staying healthy is to eat healthy and stay active.

I sort of think this is realistic...because I believe I am normal weight, but everyone tells me I'm super skinny. No, I wasn't really all that surprised. No, I do not really pay attention to what I eat or how many calories I take in, because I have high metabolism and I burn it off really quickly. I don't that much exercise a day, unless you count walking alot. :) For staying healthy at my age, I think you should get some exercise and don't eat too mych junk food.
ReplyDeleteI do not feel this is realistic because the BMI is not able to count your muscle. I was surprised by what I found because I am apparently overweight, but again muscle weighs more then fat. Yes I pay attention to what I eat , but I do not pay attention to how many calories. Yes, I get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. I play soccer. Yes it is very easy to stay active when I am young. As I age I think it would be harder to stay active and healthy, but some ways are get in good eating habits right now, and exercise everyday.

I feel that this is semi realistic! When i look at myself, i personaly think im over weight, but according to this website, im normal.. I tend to watch what i eat a little more than a couple years ago, because im now a vegiterain. I don't count calories, but i check lables. I do get atleast 30 minutes of exercise each day! As i age, im more aware of what i need to do to not let myself go. I tend to walk instead of get a ride to close places.. I also eat a lot of fruits and veggies (:
ReplyDeleteI fell this is not realistic, because I feel that I'm not underweight. I was very surprised to hear that im underweight. No, I don't pay attention to what I eat, I eat about everything. I sometimes get 30 minutes of exercise per day. I feel that it's easier to be more active. Some ways to stay fit, even if you are busy is eat 3 meals a day, and make sure they are healthy meals, meaning make sure that you get all the necessary items needed. Another thing may be try to at least exercise 3 times a week for 30 minutes.
ReplyDelete1. No i don't feel this is realistic.
ReplyDelete2. No i wasn't because I know this was very inaccurate.
3. Yes i pay attention to what I eat.
4. Yes i am aware of how many calories i eat a day.
5. I get over an hour of excersize a day.
6. Iw as valot easier to stay active as a younger kid, but i never let my age or responsibilites take over my life in which i cant work out. I love staying in shape.

ReplyDeleteWhen I calculated my body fat I was not surprised at what I found out. I think that the number that showed up was reasonable and it made sense. Sometimes I watch what I eat. I try to eat healthy foods but sometimes I eat too much snacks. My weakness is flamming hot cheetos. When I diet I sometimes count my calories to make sure i'm taking in a healthy amount. I go to the gym even when i'm not dieting to maintain a healthy life style. However sometimes I don't always feel like going. Eating right and excercising daily are the key components in maintaing a healthy life style in my opion. Everyone should be worried about their health. Olivia Parisi
ReplyDeletei believe this is pretty realistic. i wasn't really surprised on anything i found. Yes, i do pay attention to what i eat. i make sure i have 2 somewhat healthy meals a day and a snack. i am not aware of how many calories i eat. right now i am not getting 30 minutes of physical activity because Bedford volleyball's season is over for the year and borderline volleyball hasn't started yet but it will start soon. so i'm not very worried. when i was young it was very easy for me to stay active, i was always moving around and doing things. sure i think that it may be more difficult to exercise but i'm sure ill make time for it. some good strategies for my age to stay healthy is to move around as much as possible as in when you don't really need to get up and do something just do it anyways so you get a little more burning of calories in your day and eat and drink healthy foods. i don't drink pop because it has so much acid in it. so eat healthy exercise and also be social with people because its a good motivator to have friends that do the same health related activities. also do this as you age because it will only get harder.

ReplyDeleteI do feel this is realistic. I was shocked that they told me that I was underweight because I know that I am not. I do pay attention to what I eat, and try to pick healthy foods. I am not aware of how many calories I eat, but I probably have more than I need. I get around 3 and a half hours of physical activity each day. Some stradegies would be to go on a walk everyday.

ReplyDeleteI do think this is realistic. I was not surprised when i found out how much percent of body fat that i have. I do not feel like i need to pay attention to what i eat because i have a really high metabolism and burn off calories fast. I have at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. I think that to stay healthy you should workout every other day and watch what you eat.
1. i do feel this is realistic because i have a higher weight than others that are my size
ReplyDelete2. i usually dont watch what i eat and i never know how many calories i eat.
3. i try to workout everyday.
